www.geektateur.com published by the GeekTateur group, was put online in September 2023. Our Conditions of use, our Data use policy and our Cookie use policy came into force upon the launch of the site.
1. Terms and consitions
GeekTateur uses technologies that allow everyone to get in touch and form communities around the same center of interest (geek culture). These General Conditions govern your use of www.geektateur.com and the GeekTateur applications. These Products are provided to you by the GeekTateur group.
2. Billing
We do not charge you for the use of www.geektateur.com (the website) or GeekTateur (the application) or other products and services included in these Terms, unless we indicate otherwise. Instead, companies, organizations and others pay us to show you advertisements for their products and services. By using our Products, you agree that we may show you advertisements that we believe are relevant to you based on your interests. We use your interests to define personalized advertisements to show you.
3. Protection of personal data
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or share information with them that directly identifies you (such as your name, email address or other contact details). ), unless expressly authorized by you. Instead, advertisers give us information, such as the type of audience they want to show their ads to, and we serve those ads across multiple pages on the site.

4. GeekTateur Discussion Forum

7. Financing
Instead of paying for the use of GeekTateur and the other products and services we offer, by using the GeekTateur Products covered by these Terms, you agree that we show you personalized advertisements and other commercial and sponsored content paid by companies and organizations for us to promote on and outside of GeekTateur entities’ products. We use your personal data, such as information about your activity and interests, to show you personalized ads and sponsored content that may be more relevant to you.
Privacy is at the heart of the design of our personalized advertising system. We allow advertisers to give us information, such as their business objective and the type of audience they want to show their ads to, in the case of GeekTateur, people like gaming and geek culture. 8. What you can share and do on the GeekTateur forum
We want people to use GeekTateur Products to express themselves and share content that matters to them, but not at the expense of the safety and well-being of others or the integrity of our community. You therefore agree not to act in the manner described below (or encourage or support others to do so): You may not use our Products to do or share anything: that violates these Terms , Community Standards or other terms and policies applicable to your use of our Products;

9. The permissions you grant to us

10. Updating our conditions
We strive to constantly improve our services and develop new features to provide better Products to you and our community. Therefore, we may update these Terms from time to time in order to properly reflect our services and practices, to promote a safe and secure experience of our Products and services and/or to comply with the applicable law. We will only modify them if the provisions are no longer adequate or if they are incomplete, and if the modifications are reasonable and take into account your interests, or if they are necessary for security purposes or compliance with applicable legislation.
If these Terms change, We will notify you by email at least 10 days before they come into effect unless the changes are required by law. Once the revised Terms are in effect, you will be bound by them if you continue to use our Products.
We hope that you will continue to use our Products, but if you do not agree with our revised Terms and no longer wish to be part of the Geektateur community, you can delete your account at any time.
